The Life Dunas project started today (October 13) in Porto Santo. An initiative that stems from an application made within the scope of the Regional Government's strategy to combat Climate Change, given the high vulnerability of island regions.

This is a Project that aims to increase the resilience of the dune ecosystems and the beach. The intention is to ensure, starting in 2021, the replacement of a dune cord, in a place where it is practically nonexistent.

CARTRIDGE HUNTING CONTEST 2020

With the start of the venatory season, starting on October 4th, all hunters can register for this year's edition of the Cartridge-Hunting competition.

This contest aims, above all, to make hunters on the island of Porto Santo aware of the need to keep the chosen places for hunting clean, rewarding good environmental practices and challenging them to collect the empty cartridges that result from their hunting activities, or those left in the field.

The 1st, 2nd and 3rd classified will be awarded.

This is an action to stimulate the local application of the island of Porto Santo to the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.
